Symposium: PUR-Forum  

On May 8, 2025, the Kunststoff-Zentrum in Leipzig is once again hosting the "PUR Forum" - the established specialist conference on sustainable developments in polyurethane processing. This year, the focus will once again be on the topic of sustainability, which is becoming increasingly relevant within the industry.

The polyurethane industry is changing: the demand for environmentally friendly solutions is increasing, regulatory requirements are growing - and at the same time the pressure to innovate is increasing. The PUR Forum offers a platform for exchange, inspiration and knowledge transfer. Experts from industry and research discuss current challenges and present practical approaches for more sustainable production, use and recycling of PUR systems.

Holistic perspectives on sustainability in the PUR industry

As part of the PUR Forum, participants can look forward to a varied lecture program with contributions from industry and research. In eight specialist presentations, experts will shed light on key challenges, innovative solutions and practical examples of sustainability in the polyurethane industry. The focus will be on topics such as the Green Deal, chemical recycling, biogenic carbon sources, release agent-free processing and sustainable finishing solutions. The program will be supplemented by contributions on life cycle analysis and resource-saving product development.

The event is aimed at experts from the fields of application, processing, development, raw materials and plant engineering, toolmaking and anyone interested in sustainable PUR technologies.
