Review: The Festival of the Future transformed Leipzig's market square into a colorful spectacle

"How do we want to live, reside, work and play in Leipzig in 2030?" - Together for a green city of Leipzig, the FESTIVALS OF THE FUTURE makes concrete measures and ideas of regional companies visible.

Together with many visitors, we celebrated the first Leipzig Future Day on the official "Earth Day".Visitors could expect a colorful potpourri of free workshops to participate in and discuss, an innovation exhibition, a stage program with orchestra, choirs and ballet, and much more.

The cityscape was especially characterized by the Future Forest, which consisted of 100 Future Trees with symbolic climate ribbons. But creatively designed shop windows throughout the city center also showed how city dwellers want to live, work and live in Leipzig in 2030.

A look at the innovation exhibition in the Marktgalerie and the Messehof showed what contributions Leipzig companies are making to a green and sustainable Leipzig.

SPIN2030 Science Festival - Saxon research inspires

More than 50 research institutes and universities represented Saxony's excellent scientific landscape at the Technische Sammlungen Dresden on March 8 and 9, 2024. The first SPIN2030 science festival attracted 8,000 visitors, who were able to experience Saxony's wide-ranging and diverse research live on five floors, try it out and interact directly with the researchers.
