AI-supported assistance system for online formulation of liquid inks

The aim of this research project is to develop an intelligent assistance system for the online formulation of liquid colors in the injection molding process. The core of the project is to develop a process that uses machine learning methods to create a color model of the liquid colors used in the form of an artificial neural network (KNN) and uses this for formulation and quality control in the injection molding process.

The solution to be developed thus automatically adjusts the color dosage to a given color within a few cycles, allowing the processor maximum flexibility while simultaneously monitoring quality from the point of view of color. The system makes a significant contribution to making the coloring of plastics more cost-efficient and resource-saving.
