Quality prediction by means of AI-assisted failure analysis

The "AI Quality" project aims to develop and promote an AI-based, holistic view of the injection molding system. By linking all information from upstream and peripheral processes as well as process variables, it should be possible to categorize injection molding defects on the basis of quality markers with regard to various criteria.

The derivation of correlations is carried out with the aid of methods from the fields of machine learning and artificial intelligence. These are intended to enable the forecasting of defect risks and the initiation of optimal measures for their elimination. Overarching goals, such as reducing high scrap rates and subsequent costs, are taken into account by this AI-supported injection molding defect prediction.
